Booking software for children’s & parent-child courses
For children’s courses, the person booking often differs from the person attending. Give parents clear options and record actual participants, both in children-only courses and shared parent-child sessions.

More ways to use this setup
Children’s yoga, gymnastics & afternoon courses
Plan courses with age-appropriate descriptions and limited child places. For a child-only activity, book only the child as participant.
Parent-baby courses & early learning
Shared play and movement courses record attending adults and children individually. Childcare, collection arrangements and facility administration are outside this example.
Parent education & family activities
If only adults attend a parenting course, book only them. For family activities, explain who should take part; a family name does not replace individual places.
01 / What your offer needs
What your offer needs
Distinguish booker and child
Parents organize bookings; the child attends a child-only course. The participant list should reflect that distinction.
Assign subscriptions clearly
A child subscription stays with its named child. Its visit allowance is not freely transferable between siblings.
Count shared attendance correctly
For parent-child sessions, attending adults and children must count individually towards capacity.

The participant experience
Choose a children’s course
A parent selects an available children’s course session.
Check the subscription’s named child
They use the existing child subscription and check that its named child will attend.
Book a place for the child
The confirmed booking occupies one place for that child and uses one subscription visit.
The booking path in a few steps
Use existing child subscription → check named child → confirm prepared booking.
- Use existing child subscription
- check named child
- confirm prepared booking
Variations and important distinctions
Book each session deliberately
Each recurring session is booked separately. A subscription or punch card is valid only for assigned courses and does not replace a place booking. This setup does not sell the entire teaching series as a package.
Children-only course or shared family activity
In a child-only course, the adult remains only the booker. For a shared activity, adult and child actually attend and each occupy a place.
Questions about this example
Can siblings share a child subscription?
No. The child remains the subscription’s fixed participant. It is not freely transferable; only one active subscription can exist per account and offer. Suitable single bookings can be an alternative for other children.
Does a parent-child pair count as one place?
No. The adult and child each occupy a person place in this example. It does not introduce a family tariff or automatically managed pair allowance.
Must a parent also be booked into a children’s course?
Only if they actually attend. For a single booking, the parent adds the child, confirms the declaration and removes their own participation if only the child attends.
