Four steps to your setup
Set up the school and location
Create the provider and venue. Explain where each course takes place.
Create suitable booking options
Add single bookings and a punch card for open courses, plus a separate request-based option for advanced courses.
Plan courses and the workshop
Create recurring individual sessions and the separate workshop with their own capacities. Explicitly assign suitable options.
Check requests and bookings separately
Make the personal assessment instructions clear. Approval enables a subsequent purchase or booking; it does not complete it.
Advanced courses: access on request
A screenshot will show the request-based booking option and instructions for discussing prior experience personally.

The participant experience
Request the option
The participant opens the advanced option and sends a request with a short message.
Wait for a personal decision
You review the requirements and decide whether to grant access to the booking option.
Book after approval
The participant uses the approved option for a suitable session. The request itself does not reserve a place.
Request first, then receive access
The clip will show a request with a short message. A clearly labelled later stage will show the option after the provider’s decision.

Variations and important distinctions
Weekly series, individual bookings
A recurring series is not automatically sold as one course block. Explain that the sessions shown here are booked separately.
Approval without automatic evidence checks
You assess experience yourself. Partner matching and automatic assignment of dance roles or couples are not represented here.
Questions about this example
Does one booking buy the whole dance series?
No. Each session in this example is booked separately. Calendar recurrence does not mean a combined purchase.
Are access requests approved automatically?
No. The provider personally decides on access to the booking option. Approval and the subsequent booking are separate steps.
Can a punch card cover only open courses?
Yes. Assign it only to suitable courses. Workshops can use their own single-booking option.
