Fixed prices and course prices: compare booking options

Learn when the price comes from the booking option and when you set it for each course. Compare both approaches with practical examples.

Development preview: this help article has been prepared locally and has not been published.

Before you begin

You need access to your provider’s booking options and courses.

Fixed price or course price?

A fixed-price booking option already contains its amount. For a one-time booking option with a customizable price (“Custom”), you set the amount in each course. Custom does not mean participants choose their own price.

Both variants must be explicitly assigned to the course. Setting a price alone does not make an option available there.

Two examples of choosing a price

Uniform admission: create a one-time option called “Single training” priced at €15 and assign it to several courses. This option costs €15 in every assigned course, even if a different course price is configured there.

Different course prices: create “Single booking” with Custom pricing. Set €12 for the short training session and €25 for the workshop. Participants see the price of the selected course for this option.

You can combine both variants in one course: for example, a free trial with a fixed price of €0, a regular one-time booking at the course price, and a subscription with its own fixed subscription price.

Set the course price

The one-time booking price field appears when you select at least one Custom one-time option. You do not need this field if you select only predefined-price options.

All selected Custom one-time options in a course use the same course price. To charge different amounts for two options in the same course, define separate fixed-price options.

€0 explicitly means free of charge. Check the amount before saving; a missing price or a price that cannot be loaded does not mean free. For a recurring series, also check which occurrences a change should apply to.

  1. Under “Select booking options” in the course, select the options you want to accept.
  2. If you selected a Custom option, enter the one-time booking price.
  3. Check the selection and amount, save, and reopen the settings to verify them.

Which approach fits your offer?

Use Custom when you want one shared one-time booking option for courses with different prices. Use fixed prices for different rates within the same course, such as a standard rate and a reduced rate.

For punch cards and subscriptions, set the price in the booking option. The course price does not replace that purchase or subscription price.

If the price field does not appear, check the selected option’s type and pricing setting. If a saved amount differs after reopening or cannot be loaded, contact support before relying on the displayed amount.
